Keep boredom at bay this summer! Students entering 5th-9th graders – from any school! – are invited to join St. Ambrose Academy for a fun, educational workshop that will keep learners engaged and sharpen skills through hands-on activities, projects, and on-site learning. What can math and science teach us about sports, or better yet, what can MATH and SPORTS teach us about science?
Join Ms Quinn Myers, St. Ambrose science teacher and coach extraordinaire, as she combines the two in a kinesthetic, activity-based workshop where students discover the science behind such fascinating themes such as the geometry of banking a basketball, baseball analytics, aerodynamics and volleyball, and how our body uses and conserves energy.
St Ambrose Academy varsity athletes will be on hand to show you how it’s done. LET’S GO!
