St. Ambrose Academy warmly welcomes Jacob Kruchten! Jacob will be teaching Latin A, Latin I, and Latin V, in addition to providing tutoring for Latin. He will also teach a section of English Grammar I. Jacob looks forward to teaching Latin because it will help students acquire not only the knowledge of the language, which is in itself valuable, but also the mental discipline, structure, and critical thinking skills necessary for the study of any subject.
A Wisconsin native, Jacob was homeschooled through freshman year, when he was invited by the priests of the Society of Jesus Christ the Priest to attend Shoreless Lake School in Spain. He then went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in Classical Languages from the University of Murcia, Spain.
Jacob isn’t the first Kruchten at St. Ambrose–six of Jacob’s eleven younger siblings have attended the school! When not in the classroom, Jacob enjoys reading about history, philosophy, theology, politics, and linguistics. Fluent in Spanish, Jacob has also studied Greek, Latin, French, and German and hopes to master even more.
