St. Ambrose Academy is a 6-12, private, Catholic, classical academy located in Madison, WI. The Academy offers a vibrant Catholic community and a rapidly growing student body.
We are currently seeking a Full-Time Latin/Mathematics Teacher to teach at both the junior and senior high level for the 2022-23 school year. Course assignments will depend upon qualifications.
St. Ambrose teaches Latin using the oral method, and new teachers are offered the opportunity to proceed through the courses in order in order to receive training and master this method. Teachers interested in part- or three-quarter time are also encouraged to apply.
The candidate must be a practicing Catholic, willing to make an Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium and whose life of faith serves as an example to our students and families.
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field of study is required. Teaching experience is preferred, particularly familiarity with classical education, but training will be provided for the right applicant.
Candidates must demonstrate excellent organizational, written, and verbal communications skills; be adaptable to the classical classroom; be able to contribute to curriculum development; and demonstrate a desire to share their gifts and talents with the students and administration of the school.
If you desire a full-time position with benefits, part-time positions may be combined with other part-time positions shown on the Career Opportunities page.
