While the Senior High was away on retreat (grades 9-11) and the March for Life (grade 12), the Junior High had a blast at our annual Junior High Life Skills Day! Regular classwork is set aside and our 6th-8th graders got to spend a day focusing on fun parent- and teacher-led activities that just may lead to lifelong habits and hobbies.
They began the daily Mass, followed by our school spelling bee where Grace H. took the top spot! Afterward, students played a House game before getting down to business in their four blocks for the day. Here are the 16 amazing sessions students were able to choose from and enjoy:
✦ Crocheting with Mrs. Hillenbrand
✦ Unicycling with Mrs. Klaas
✦ Intro to Investing with Mrs. Lentz
✦ Knitting with Mrs. Anthony
✦ Cooking with Mrs. Krejchik
✦ Juggling with Mr. Carey
✦ “Resiliency Mindset” with Mr. Hillenbrand
✦ Basics of Chess with Mr. Brooks
✦ Creative Snowflake Design with Mrs. Dr. Ludvik
✦ Body Weight Exercises with Mrs. Sanders

✦ How To Set a Table with Mrs. Kwas
✦ Needle Felting with Mrs. Edie
✦ Tips for Solving Sudoku with Mr. Gazzoli
