Courtney Jablonski is excited to be joining the St. Ambrose Academy community, bringing her passion for art education and a deep commitment to Catholic formation. Originally from a dairy farm near Ellsworth, Wisconsin, Courtney’s upbringing instilled in her a strong work ethic and an appreciation for the beauty found in everyday life, embodying her personal motto: “Always seek the extraordinary in the ordinary.” She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in K-12 Art Education from UW-Madison, laying the foundation for a career dedicated to nurturing young minds.
Her professional journey has included teaching art at the elementary level in the Verona Area School District, as well as serving as a lead preschool teacher and later as Arts Coordinator and Educator for the Art, Music, and Spanish Program at Arthouse Preschool in Waunakee. These experiences have honed her ability to connect with students across different age groups and to develop engaging, multi-faceted learning opportunities.
Courtney finds immense joy in her leisure time, often spent outdoors exploring nature with her family, enjoying the peace of the countryside, or climbing the mountains of Colorado. She also nurtures her creative side as a participant in the Verona Area Wind Symphony and through her continued enjoyment of ballet. If she had a week to do whatever she wanted, she would ideally embark on a family adventure, perhaps discovering new scenic hiking trails or simply cherishing time together in a beautiful, natural setting.
A dedicated member of her faith community, Courtney and her husband are active parishioners at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Parish. During a period as a stay-at-home mom, she committed her time to serving Babies and Beyond (formerly Pregnancy Helpline of Madison) as the Phone Volunteer Coordinator. This volunteer role allowed her to provide support and resources to families and mothers in the community, reflecting her compassionate spirit and pro-life commitment to service.
What truly draws Courtney to Catholic education, and specifically to St. Ambrose, is the unique opportunity to integrate faith with learning. She believes that art education is a powerful tool for helping students connect with others, perceive the world through a new lens, and give back to the community, all while growing in their understanding of the Catholic faith.
She is particularly passionate about helping students discover their inherent value and purpose, mirroring her own experience as an adopted child, where she came to understand God’s profound love and the blessing of family.
She is eager to contribute to the school’s mission of academic excellence and faith formation, creating an environment where students feel confident, inspired, and connected to their Catholic identity. Welcome, Courtney!
