Dr. Jen Anthony joins St. Ambrose Academy as a new Physics teacher, bringing decades of experience in science education, educational leadership, and a passion for helping students grow both academically and personally. Originally from Marshfield, Wisconsin, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse before completing her doctorate in Microbiology at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where she met her husband. Together they share two children, Jonathan and Kathryn.
Throughout her career, Dr. Anthony has taught nearly every science course imaginable, served as a science department chair, and most recently worked as an upper school principal at a Catholic high school. Her family’s relocation back to Wisconsin gave her the opportunity to return closer to loved ones while joining the St. Ambrose community.
Outside the classroom, Dr. Anthony enjoys traveling with her family and has led students on educational and service trips to destinations including Ecuador, Iceland, Japan, Peru, and the Galápagos Islands. She also loves reading, playing the flute, volunteering through parish ministries, and spending time with her husband and their rescue dog. A lifelong Packers fan, she’s also proudly adopted the Phillies after years spent on the East Coast. Originally married at Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish, Dr. Anthony and her husband have begun to get involved at the parish since moving back and look forward to being involved in ministries there.
Dr. Anthony was drawn to St. Ambrose by its deeply rooted Catholic mission and the vibrant faith life that is woven into everyday school life. She looks forward to building meaningful relationships with students, helping them become critical thinkers through hands-on learning, and contributing to the close-knit St. Ambrose community both inside and outside the classroom.
Welcome, Dr. Anthony!
