Stacey Sanders

Religion

“I love the Lord and am passionate about our beautiful Catholic faith. It animates and inspires me; it informs every decision I make. And teaching has taken a central role in nearly all my paid and volunteer roles throughout my life. So, I feel called to share my combined passion for the faith and love for teaching with receptive hearts. I know St. Ambrose will be a wonderful community in which to do so.”

We are delighted to welcome Mrs. Stacey Sanders to the St. Ambrose Academy faculty as a Religion teacher this year! While new to our team, Stacey is a familiar face in the community.

“Our daughter’s 9th-grade experience at St. Ambrose was so outstanding that our wisest choice was to send our youngest daughter a year before we had planned,” said Stacey. “Both daughters are now thriving spiritually, emotionally, intellectually and socially because of the rock-solid faculty, involved parent community, dedicated leadership team, and edifying friends. We’ve offered countless prayers of thanks for St. Ambrose!”

Stacey holds a BBA in Marketing and Human Resource Management from the UW-Madison School of Business. Her professional background includes work in banking, not-for-profit, and start-up sectors doing consulting, training, and customer service management.

Stacey and her husband have been joyfully married for 35 years and are the proud parents of five children, including their two youngest who are current St. Ambrose Guardians. Their oldest son will be entering the Jesuit novitiate this August – a discernment milestone that the entire St. Ambrose community celebrates as we continue to pray for all young men and women discerning the call to religious life.

Since stepping away from the business world to raise their children, Stacey has also immersed herself in a variety of impactful roles in her community: as a middle school youth group leader, confirmation catechist, Bible study facilitator, Religion Teacher and substitute teacher at St. Francis Xavier (SFX) in Cross Plains, and substitute teacher at St. Ambrose. She has also brought energy and enthusiasm to the athletic field as the former Head Track Coach at SFX and current Assistant Cross Country Coach at St. Ambrose.

Stacey’s happiest afternoons are spent outdoors rollerblading and biking, or if she’s near water she enjoys swimming, paddleboarding, waterskiing and snorkeling.

With her rich life experience, deep love of the faith, and passion for equipping young people in a nurturing environment, Stacey is a tremendous blessing to our community. We are so grateful for her gifts and joyful presence at St. Ambrose Academy!
