Over the years, veteran teacher Theresa has taught a wide range of subjects from self-contained fifth grade to pre-calculus to Religion III. Her favorite class to teach is Algebra I. She is also trained to teach Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, a program that brings the best of monastery life to young children. Theresa has a master’s degree in theology from Ave Maria, as well as a master’s in education through the ACE program at Notre Dame. She also holds bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and English literature from St. Mary’s College in Indiana.

Theresa also previously served as St. Ambrose Academy’s first Director of Student Ministries, a role in which she created opportunities for the students to encounter the Lord throughout the school year so that they not only know their faith, but also have a relationship with Him. Theresa believes that intellectual formation can lead to openness in the spiritual life and sought to fill this desire through Eucharistic Adoration hours for the students during the school day, as well as a student lectio divina group. She hopes to inspire a deeper knowledge of liturgical living in the students.

Theresa learned much about living liturgically during her years at the cloistered Carmelite monastery Holy Name of Jesus near Green Bay. She is passionate about helping students encounter the Lord during their school day and even in the classroom.
