We’re excited to welcome back Theresa Klinkhammer to St. Ambrose Academy! Theresa brings many years of teaching experience across five states and a wide range of subjects, including theology, mathematics, English literature, grammar, history, science, and Latin.

She has earned undergraduate degrees in mathematics and English literature, a master’s degree in education, and a master’s degree in pastoral theology. She has also earned a primary Montessori certificate and has been trained and been a catechist in all three levels of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS).

A longtime member of the St. Ambrose community, Theresa previously taught at the Academy from 2011-2015 and 2020-2023 and is excited to return to teach our sixth graders in Catechism 6, saying “I love the community, the students, the teachers, and the parents at St. Ambrose”. She already knows many of her students through her work in CGS from when they were younger and looks forward to helping them all grow in their love for Jesus.

Outside the classroom, Theresa enjoys going to Adoration, hiking, and serving through Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. On December 22, 2023, Theresa was consecrated by Bishop Hying as a consecrated virgin. We are grateful to have her back at St. Ambrose Academy for her witness and her passion for education and raising up the next generation of young Catholics!
