The Fall 2022 Service Day was our biggest one yet! As the school grows, our impact continues to grow as we invest in ongoing and new relationships with organizations throughout south-central Wisconsin.
This year, our entire 6-12 student body of 165 students, plus tons of awesome parent volunteers, fanned out across the Diocese to serve ministries, parishes, schools, and organizations including Camp Gray, Our Lady of the Valley Monastery, Sisters of Mary Morning Star, Schoenstatt Sisters, Babies & Beyond, 6:8, St. Peter Parish & School, Mount Horeb Senior Center, Stewart Lake County Park, St. Christopher Parish, Divine Mercy Academy, Durward’s Glen, St. Maria Goretti Parish, Resurrection Cemetery, St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, All Saints Assisted Living & Memory Care, Lacy Garden, and St. Vincent de Paul.
Whew, what a list!
The Service Days help us live out the Lord’s call to serve our neighbor, get to know our communities, and be attentive to the ways God wants to use our talents and time to make a difference in the world. The day also helps us form closer bonds of community within our own school, as we take some time away from the classroom in groups of students that span different grades, getting to know new friends and deepening bonds with old ones.
