Boys Basketball Plays Fiserv Forum

A Fantastic Finish at Fiserv

On Friday, January 23, 2026, the Guardians traveled to Milwaukee’s Fiserv Forum – the home of the Bucks -to face the Lake Country Classical Academy Sentinels. During the basketball season, the Bucks offer high school teams the opportunity to hit the court before the NBA games and our boys took advantage of the incredible opportunity, winning 49-41 over LCCA, and improving to a 13-2 record for the season to that point!

1st Half

After NBA-style introductions, the teams tipped off their afternoon game.

LCCA started off quick with a 3 and two free throws. SAA responded with 7 points of their own aided by quick steals by Nate and Michael. The teams settled into some back and forth and were locked up at 15 less than 7 minutes left in the first. The Guardians were able to go on a 9-0 run aided by a Nate steal and Anthony block. LCCA got a 2, Isaac banked in a NBA 3, and the half ended with a missed half court shot off the rim by the Sentinels.

Halftime:  27-16

2nd Half

SAA got the first basket of the second half but then went cold. LCCA got hot and went on a 20-7 run to tie it up 36-36 halfway through the second. Michael had a couple of assists to Damien and Nate to account for some of the scoring during that run. A timely timeout got the Guardians focused and drove to basket by Damien (from Michael), Michael (from Nate), and two buckets from Adam. Nate made two clutch bonus free throws to go up 46-36 with under two minutes to play. LCCA got a bucket, and then Isaac scored to get back to 10 with 29.4 seconds left.

This lead gave St. Ambrose the opportunity to clear the bench to give the whole varsity roster to hear their name in an NBA arena and step onto the Bucks’ court. LCCA got a 3, and Grayson got on the scoreboard with a free throw.

Final Score:  49-41
