With the help of numerous friends, we secured not one… but TWO incredible matching challenges in just 33 days!! (yes, 33 days to this glorious result!)
We secured the second matching challenge of $250,000 over the last weekend of June… and a good bit more. The response from Friday night to Sunday was exhilarating, with nearly $85,000 of donations and pledges pouring in to get us through this finish line by a good margin.
Drumroll please…
This means we have raised almost $1.8M of the full $2.2M Phase 2 cost… AND…
The board has authorized our contractors to stay on site this July so we will have a complete school by the new year!
I am in awe by how much we’ve been able to accomplish together in such a short time.
Hundreds of people near and far answered the call to champion these children through your prayers, efforts to spread the word, and sacrificial donations.
I couldn’t be prouder or more thankful to invest in these children in a big way by creating a full and effective home for their education at Holy Name Heights – where they will be equipped and strengthened to carry the Light of Christ from this hilltop to bless a puzzled world.
So, a few words of special gratitude:
- Thank you to our remarkable anonymous matching donors who provided us with huge help, encouragement, and motivation to get this done quickly. You were the sparks!
- Thank you to everyone who gave, and to everyone who prayed, to achieve this magnificent outcome.
