Hot Lunch – Hosted by Senior Class

Hot Lunch Roll-Out      
Thanks to the diligence of our monthly hot lunch crew (yay, Savanna, Ryan and Hannah!), we are ready to roll-out the monthly hot lunches that made our students and staff SO happy last year and will certainly delight them this year. The first lunch will be Monday, October 9, in coordination with our celebration of Our Lady of Champion. For the full slate lunches, the cost will be $20 per student for the whole school year, collected through FACTS; this covers the main dish and plates and utensils. You can opt out if you want by contacting Savanna Parker (savanna1434@hotmail.com).
This first lunch will be hosted by the Senior class. Senior parents, that means we need your help with serving and donating items.

Junior High Retreat at Camp Gray

Dear St. Ambrose Academy Junior High Parents,

We just want to send you a reminder that tomorrow Friday October 6, 2023, your

student will be going to Camp Gray for their Junior High Retreat.

Student will be coming to school at the regular time (8am). They ‘ll be reporting to

their Homeroom teachers and they will be going to the Oratory to pray the Litany

of the Hours.

Around 8:45am, they will be going into their bus or a van to go to Camp Gray.

Pick up time will be here at SAA at 5pm.

Make sure they bring their usual cold lunch.

They can wear comfortable clothes and shoes. There’s no need to wear uniform.

Please ask them to bring the following:

Bible/spiritual reading
Rosary
Coat/hat (if it is cold)
Water bottle
Packed lunch

Junior High Cross Country Meet @ Verona Area High School – RESCHEDULED FOR 10/18/23

Per Quinn Myer’s Team Linkt message on 10/11/23:

“Hi all,

I just received word that the middle school meet at Verona on 10/12/23 has been rescheduled until next Wednesday, October 18th. They have a few meets there over the next two weeks and with the projected rain, want to make sure that they keep the course in good shape.

I recognize that some of you may have planned on the middle school season ending tomorrow while others planned on attending practice with the high schoolers all of next week. We are still going to be attending the rescheduled meet, but I understand if your child is no longer able to make it. We will carpool over just as we had planned for tomorrow. I’ve linked the ride sign-up below.

We will still have practice tomorrow. The weather isn’t going to be great so please make sure that your kids pack sweats and a rain jacket. Part of the practice will be inside tomorrow. The high school time trial that was also planned for tomorrow will still be happening at school.

Dress Uniform Day

Students should plan to wear their dress uniform on 9/26 for Picture Day. Individual pictures will be taken beginning in the morning that day.

Uniforms will not be required that Fri., Sept. 29.

School pictures are taken by Lifetouch. Our school code is EVTDM7SB4. Forms came home with students this afternoon.

Donut Day at the Cross Country Meet

It’s A Run On Donuts!

Come cheer on our fleet-footed Guardians at the Cross Country meet THIS Sat., Sept. 16 at Belleville High School. Varsity & JV Girls begin the morning at 9:00 a.m., Varsity & JV Boys run at 9:45 a.m., and JH (boys and girls together) runs at 10:30 a.m.

Donuts will be given to all fans wearing St. Ambrose Guardians spirit wear!

Cross Country Team Dinner – CANCELLED

“Good morning everyone –

I’m sorry, but I think we need to cancel the spaghetti supper this week. We’re having difficulty finding an appropriate venue. We had hoped to have practice out at our place, but that won’t be possible this week.

We will happily provide snack this Saturday at Albany, with our sincerest thanks for your understanding. Is this a bribe? Maybe. 😉

Cross Country Team Dinner

Host – Haun Family

The Haun family will be hosting the Spaghetti Dinner on Friday, Sept 15th at Walnut Grove Park (202 N Westfield Rd, Madison, WI 53717). It is about a mile from school. Runners will practice at school and carpool over to the park for dinner. Families are welcome to join! Dinner will begin around 5:00pm. Please plan to pick up your runner between 6:00-6:30pm from the park. If any parents can help carpool runners to the park from school, it would be much appreciated!

Cross Country Practice

Practice from 5:00pm-6:15pm with dinner to follow.

The Belter family has offered to host this year’s kickoff pasta dinner. They are pretty far away for most, so they are inviting parents and families to hang out while waiting for students. They live on a farm with lots of fun places to explore and trails to walk. They will host practice at 5:00pm and dinner to follow at 6:15pm.

Our St. Ambrose Academy Fall Spirit Wear Store with RBS is open featuring a brand-new spirit-tee designed by the class of 2024! Students are permitted to wear spirit-tees and hoodies on Wednesdays!
