Declare Independence? The American Revolution Experience
Mark the 250th anniversary by stepping into the Revolution itself
A hands-on week of debate, trial, and discovery
Should the colonies break away from Britain? In this interactive workshop led by Mr. Kwas, students will step into the American Revolution and wrestle with the ideas that led to the United States Declaration of Independence. Through hands-on activities, they will examine the arguments, conflicts, and decisions that shaped the founding of the nation.
What students will do:
  • Put the British soldiers of the Boston Massacre on trial
  • Print pro- and anti-Stamp Act pamphlets
  • Map and analyze the 27 grievances in the Declaration of Independence
  • Participate in a “Should We Declare Independence?” debate
  • Create short-form videos (“Declaration Shorts”) explaining its key ideas
  • Visit the Wisconsin State Capitol to explore republican government and liberty

“Biblical Art and Technology” Summer Workshop

Biblical Art and Technology
A hands-on journey into the world of the Old Testament
Ready for an adventure of Biblical proportions? In this immersive workshop led by Geoffrey Ludvik, students will step into the world of ancient Israel and experience daily life in Biblical times. Through hands-on activities, they will explore the tools, technology, and culture of the Old Testament in a truly engaging and memorable way.
What students will do:
  • Use stone tools and explore early technology
  • Make mudbricks and construct a small fort
  • Learn ancient warfare techniques, including sling and spear use
  • Create models of the Ark of the Covenant and other sacred objects
  • Visit UW–Madison to explore geology, archaeology, and animal life connected to the Bible

Show Choir: Lights, Music, Action
A week of singing, movement, and live performance
Looking for something fun to do with friends this summer? Join St. Ambrose music teacher Emily Kwas for a high-energy week of singing, movement, and performance. Whether you’ve been in musicals before or just enjoy singing, this is a great way to stay active, build confidence on stage, and be ready for next year’s musical.
What students will do:
  • Learn and rehearse group songs
  • Practice choreography and coordinated movement
  • Strengthen vocal technique and projection
  • Build stage presence and confidence
  • Work toward a final group performance
