Franciscan University High School Advantage Program

St. Ambrose Academy enjoys an incredible partnership with Franciscan University of Steubenville through which St. Ambrose juniors and seniors with a cumulative GPA of 2.4 or greater may apply to receive college credit for select senior high courses taught by their regular St. Ambrose faculty.

A Few Program Benefits

  • Students earn a college transcript and college credits that automatically apply at Franciscan University (and may transfer to other colleges or universities).
  • Automatic acceptance into Franciscan University for students who complete and pass three classes.
  • Automatic $2,000/year scholarship for four years with successful completion of one course & attending Franciscan University.
  • Eligible to take part in Franciscan Life Online for community and faith formation.

Eligible Courses at St. Ambrose Academy

  • Calculus: earn 4 credits
  • Latin IV: earn 3 credits
  • Chemistry II: earn 4 credits

2025-2026 Deadlines

  • Course registration due by September 30, 2025.
  • Last day to drop a course: January 26, 2026 for full refund and no record on transcripts.
  • Last day to withdraw from a course: March 27, 2026 for 50% refund and a “W” on transcript, but no impact on Franciscan GPA.
