Carissa Heerhold

Academic Assistant

“The Christ-centered education drew me to St. Ambrose. It’s really fun just being in this environment, seeing teens living a Christ-centered life. They are surrounded by friends who share faith and values and they go to Mass and pray together. Their faith is part of their every day!”

St. Ambrose Academy is delighted to welcome Carissa Heerhold!

Carissa grew up in Wisconsin before leaving to serve in the U.S. Air Force and attend the University of Nevada–Reno where she earned a degree in International Business. She returned to Wisconsin and joined Epic, where she worked for a decade in both implementation and classroom training. She spent the last decade at home with her young family and now, with her eldest child at the Academy and two at St. Maria Goretti, she’s excited to bring her skills and joy for learning into our community.

Carissa and her husband, Aaron, are deeply committed to Catholic education, seeking schools where faith is woven into every subject and daily life. She’s especially excited to work at St. Ambrose, where prayer, learning, and living the faith go hand in hand. In addition to overseeing study halls, Carissa assists with workflow documentation and analysis to help the Academy continue to grow and thrive.

A passionate traveler, Carissa has relished exploring destinations in Europe, the Middle East, and New Zealand (with Italy holding the top spot on her favorites list!). She and her family enjoy domestic trips whenever possible and when she’s not planning the next family trip, you’ll likely find her curled up in a hammock with a good biography or work of fiction.

Please join us in giving a warm St. Ambrose Academy welcome to Carissa!
