Liz Frias

Learning Coach

“I see so much potential in every 6th grader student I encounter and to be able to encourage them and help walk them through this transitional year is a joy.”

In addition to her current role as Learning Coach, Liz also previously worked as the school secretary for three years before departing to raise her two young children. She and her husband Brad have lived in the Madison area since meeting in college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. They have made Madison’s east side home, enjoy taking family walks to the neighborhood ice cream shop, exploring local parks, and being a part of the Immaculate Heart of Mary community in Monona. You can also find Liz voraciously reading books in her free time – likely three or four at the same time!

As a Learning Coach she supports students with academic-related questions and encourages skills of executive functioning including planning, prioritizing, and learning the ways they can be successful as a student.

She loves working with these young students, who are so endearing and energetic and looks forward to helping the school community of St. Ambrose thrive all the more.
