St. Ambrose Academy is privileged to carry out its apostolate of Catholic education in Wisconsin, the site of the first and only approved Marian apparition in the United States and Canada.
In 1859, near what is now the tiny Wisconsin community of Champion, Our Lady appeared to a young Belgian immigrant, Adele Brise, with the message of conversion and a call to the apostolate of Catholic education: “Go into the wilderness, gather the children, and teach them what they need to know for their salvation.”
