Dr. Constance Nielsen

Dr. Constance Nielsen has been with St. Ambrose since its founding and served in various roles throughout the years as Dean of Faculty and Head of Curriculum in addition to teaching various subjects. A recipient of the Outstanding Catholic Educator Award from the Diocese of Madison, Connie teaches English, religion, and Latin.

In addition to her work at St. Ambrose, Connie also travels throughout the diocese and southern Wisconsin to speak on Catholic social teaching. She’s taught theology at Marquette, UW-Madison, and Edgewood, and lectured for the Madison Diocesan Lay Institute and the Seat of Wisdom Diocesan Institute. 

Connie holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in religious studies from Marquette University and a B.S. in English literature and classical humanities from UW-Madison.
