Student Success: Another National Merit Finalist

We love seeing students succeed inside and outside of the classroom: in the spring of 2023, St. Ambrose Academy senior Gabe Pirlot was announced as a National Merit Finalist!

Gabe entered the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the preliminary PSAT/NMSQT as a junior, which served as an initial screen of program entrants. Less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors achieve this standing.

To become a Finalist, the Semifinalist and a high school official needed to submit a detailed scholarship application which includes academic record, evidence of leadership, community activities, service, essay writing proficiency, and high scores on the SAT or ACT that confirm the student’s earlier performance on the qualifying test.

Gabe joins a growing number of students who have earned this achievement in the two decades of St. Ambrose Academy’s history. Congratulations, Gabe, on this tremendous achievement and on all of your hard work. We pray for you and your continued success wherever God leads you!
