Dear Senior High Parents,

On Friday, Nov. 4, former Green Bay Packer and Catholic speaker Mike McCoy will visit St. Ambrose Academy to give a talk to our senior high students called “Decisions Determine Our Destiny.” Following his professional football career, Mike has been involved in community leadership roles, serving on the Board of Directors for several organizations, and is President of Mike McCoy Ministries. He speaks primarily in Catholic Schools across America and abroad. He has also been a speaker for the National Catholic Educators Convention, Catholic Men’s Rallies, Bill Glass Ministries in prisons and to parents and coaches through the Notre Dame Play Like a Champion program.

The talk will touch on some sensitive topics (preserving chastity and avoiding drug and alcohol abuse), so please read the attached letter carefully and decide whether you want your child to participate in this event. A study hall will be provided for students whose parents opt them out.

If you do not want your child to attend Mike’s talk, please send a message to Ivonne Blahnik at the front desk ivonne.blahnik@ambroseacademy.org. If you have any questions or concerns about the event, feel free to reach out to me at john.joy@ambroseacademy.org.

Finally, if you would like to attend the event (9:40–10:40am), you would be very welcome to join us in the 1 Point Place building next door!

Please see attached letter detailing more about this event:
