Senior High students will be taking a field trip to American Players Theater on Tue., Sept. 24 to see Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing. Parents of senior high students need to go into their FACTS account and fill out the relevant permission form.

Schedule for the Day

• 7:55-9:10am: Normal morning (Homeroom and Holy Mass)
• 9:10am: Load bus and vans
• 10am: Arrive at APT
• 10:30am: Play begins
• Students and chaperones eat lunch during intermission
• 1:30pm: Play ends; Bus and vans depart to return to school
• 2:15pm: Arrive back at SAA
• 2:15-3:05pm: (Planned activity)
• Students will participate in clean-up and prayer as normal.

Dress Code

Students do not need to wear the uniform for this field trip. SAA maintains a dress code for nonuniform days (see the Student Handbook), and students are also encouraged to dress for the weather. APT is an outdoor theatre, and most of the seats may be in direct sunlight. For this field trip, jeans or nice sweatpants/joggers are acceptable. No leggings or skin-tight athletic pants. We suggest wearing layers (t-shirt and sweatshirt/jacket), a hat for sun protection, and good walking shoes. Geƫng to the theatre requires a 10-minute walk uphill.

Other things to know

• Bring a sack lunch that does not require a microwave.
• Bathrooms are located at the entrance and at the theatre. Students ought to use the bathroom before loading the bus at the end of the day.
• Students are expected to be on their best behavior and practice good theatre etiquette.
• You are representing our school! Seek to impress everyone there with your good manners and presence.
