One of the founding members of St. Ambrose, Diane Marsland has given her all to the school in a multitude of ways over the years. She is currently treasurer of the board and oversees the school’s finances. Diane has a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin and a master’s in electrical engineering from Arizona State University.
Diane is also the producer of the school’s musicals, as well as its costumer extraordinaire. The St. Ambrose musicals have won two outstanding costume design awards and two outstanding musical awards from the Jerry Awards, a state-wide program recognizing excellence in high school theater. Apart from the sheer fun of being involved in the musicals, Diane loves seeing the students develop skills that will serve them later on in life, such as public speaking and relationship building.
She and her husband Rob were recently awarded the Louis and Zélie Martin Award for having five St. Ambrose graduates. They also have a current senior at the school. Diane is the vice-chair of the St. Paul’s University Catholic Foundation and is a member of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre. When not hunting down the perfect flapper dress or just the right umbrella for a dance number, Diane enjoys watching her children’s sporting events and waterskiing.
