Ivonne Blahnik

Administrative Assistant & Spanish Outreach

“Meeting spiritual needs and providing Catholic education are of great importance to my family, so aligning with St. Ambrose Academy has been a natural fit.”

In her role as our administrative assistant, Ivonne enjoys welcoming all school visitors, serving as a reachable and friendly resource to all those who come – in person or via phone.

Originally from Mexico, Ivonne comes from a family of eleven children and is a graduate of the Institute of Fashion Design in Guadalajara. As part of her education, Ivonne also attended the School of Fashion Design in Boston, MA and took English classes at Harvard Extension School.  With her bilingual capabilities, education and early career, Ivonne regularly traveled around the world for several textile shows.

After meeting her husband, Sam, and subsequently settling in Madison, they have been blessed with five children. “Meeting spiritual needs and providing Catholic education are of great importance to my family, so aligning with St. Ambrose Academy has been a natural fit.” Ivonne loves hiking in nature and taking pilgrimages with her family, as well as fishing at their rustic cabin in northern Wisconsin. Ivonne and some of her kids are also involved in some of the activities related to Petawa Cultural Center for women and Layton Study Center for men led by the Personal Prelature of the Opus Dei.
