“The combination of St. Ambrose’s outstanding faculty and their dedication to faith-based education truly sets them apart. I’m thrilled to join a team that shares a passion for faith and inspiring young minds.”

Jen joins the faculty this year as the new Life Sciences teacher, but she is already a familiar face around St. Ambrose! With two sons flourishing as Guardians, she has seen the transformative power of a faith-based education firsthand. “Through them,” she reflects, “my faith has been enriched by wonderful personal discoveries, like the accounts of lesser-known saints such as St Mark Ji Tianxiang, which have truly touched me.”

Since her boys started at St. Ambrose’s, she’s noticed a positive shift in their family dynamic. “Our conversations more naturally flow towards faith,” Jen shares, “complementing the usual discussions about daily life, current events, and history.”

Jen and her husband Nathan also have two older children: a son pursuing a law degree and a daughter beginning her second year as a FOCUS missionary. Jen brings a professional background in pharmacy to St. Ambrose. She holds a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from UW Madison and 25 years of experience working in retail and nursing home pharmacies.

Growing up in DeForest, Wisconsin, Jen’s education came from public schools. “Merging science with faith is a perspective I never experienced,” she explains, highlighting her excitement to share her love for both with students. Beyond the classroom, Jen enjoys whipping up “Master Chef” recipes with her family, exploring national parks (Zion holds a special place in her heart, with Glacier next on the list!), and co-leading marriage preparation classes with her husband at their Waunakee parish. Welcome, Jen!
