A photograph of the entire student body will also be taken after Mass on the Holy Name Heights property!

Per email sent on 10/5/2023:

Dear St. Ambrose Academy Families,

This coming Monday October 9, on the Feast Day of Our Lady of Champion, there will be Mass at Holy Name Heights beginning at 8:00am with our beloved Chaplain Father Jared Holzhuter.

Please arrange to drop off your students between 7:30am and no later than 8:00am AT HOLY NAME HEIGHTS (address: 702 S High Point Rd, Madison, WI 53719), not at St. Ambrose Academy.

This is their schedule for the rest of the day:

  • 8am – 9am Mass
  • 9am – 10am Special Events at HNH
  • 10am – 11:30am They will be watching the play, “Tolton – From Slave to Priest”. No parents for this showtime as we do not have enough space for everyone. There will be a 7pm performance on Monday for whoever else is interested in watching the show later. Please click here for the play information).
  • 11:40 – 12:15pm They will be coming back to SAA and having a hot Lunch provided by the Home and School Connection. Students do not need to bring a cold lunch on Monday.

*Note: 6th grade students will be coming back to school for their PE class (10:18am)

Students will be having all their classes, but they will be shorter.

· Block 1 Classes: 12:20 to 12:58

· Block 2 Classes: 1:02 to 1:40

· Block 3 Classes: 1:45 to 2:23

· Block 4 Classes: 2:27 to 3:05

If you have a student driver, they should drive themselves to Holy Name Heights and park in front, in the main parking lot area on the northeast end of the parking lot. They will then need to drive their vehicles to school after the performance.

Families are cordially invited to join us for Mass as we celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Champion as a community.

If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Schmiesing at soctt.schimiesing@ambroseacademy.org or call the front desk at

Thank you and may God bless you abundantly!

The Senior/Parent Retreat will take place on Thu., Aug. 31 at St. Thomas Aquinas starting with Mass at 7:30 a.m. Each senior should bring (at least) one parent. If a parent is unable to come, the retreat will still be worthwhile for the student to attend. The retreat will end around 12:00 Noon.
