Tuition Assistance
It’s our goal to make St. Ambrose Academy accessible to families of all income levels. School benefactors make it possible for us to offer tuition assistance so that no student is denied a St. Ambrose education due to financial constraints. Assistance is available and determined by confidential application. Read more here.
A strong Catholic classical education is one of the best investments a family can make. However, we recognize that many families lack the resources to pay the full cost of this excellent academic and religious formation.
A family does not need to be in poverty to qualify for tuition assistance. Many factors are taken into account in determining qualifications for tuition assistance, including number of children enrolled, other education costs, and special circumstances. Approximately 52% of the student population receives tuition assistance. The average financial assistance award is $5,000 per student per year.
If you find full tuition is out of reach for whatever reason, you should consider applying for tuition assistance. To be considered for tuition assistance, families submit financial information to FACTS, the third-party organization which assists St. Ambrose Academy in determining a family’s financial need. FACTS assesses the family’s income and financial obligations (including college costs and tuition for other children in school), and recommends the amount the family can afford to pay for tuition. The St. Ambrose Academy Tuition Assistance Committee uses these recommendations in allocating tuition assistance.
St. Ambrose Academy Executive Director Joan Carey created a short video to introduce families to the Tuition Assistance process and we invite you to view that video to understand more about the process we use to assist families with their children’s education.
Please contact Principal Scott Schmiesing at (608) 827-5863 or scott.schmiesing@ambroseacademy.org to discuss tuition assistance at St. Ambrose Academy.
St Ambrose Academy offers tuition assistance to assist families in making a Catholic classical education affordable. All tuition assistance is based on the need or financial status of the student’s family, the number of requests received, and the amount of tuition assistance funds that are available for the given school year. Application deadline for tuition assistance is the fourth week of April for the upcoming academic school year. Applicants will be notified by mail approximately six weeks following the deadline of any award. All applicants must be enrolled at St. Ambrose Academy to be considered for tuition assistance.
FACTS
St. Ambrose Academy uses a nationally recognized service, FACTS, to process tuition assistance applications. FACTS applies standardized criteria to determine to what extent each family needs assistance to pay for one year’s tuition. St. Ambrose Academy’s tuition assistance committee uses information from the FACTS process to allocate the amount of tuition assistance available.
Please click FACTS Tuition Assistance for additional information regarding all the materials needed for the application. To access the FACTS online application, click FACTS.
If you have questions during the application process, you may reach FACTS at 866-315-9262, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time. FACTS staff are also available through email at info@factstuitionaid.com.
