As Director of Enrollment and Retention, Angela Hineline values being the first point of contact when a family is searching for a great school, knowing that St. Ambrose is a place that can fulfill the parents’ hopes and dreams for their child. Angela acts as a bridge between new families and the school community by fostering relationships among families, teachers, and other parents.
As the Director of Learning Services, she relishes walking alongside students and their families to assist students in reaching their educational potential and become prepared for life after high school. Angela was also instrumental in advocating for parental rights in education during the pandemic.
Angela is also the director of St. Ambrose’s Jerry Award-winning musicals. She is tremendously proud of the school’s high-quality productions, which encourage students to develop their God-given gifts to produce hope-inspiring tales that hint at the greater plans God has for people beyond their immediate circumstances.
In her past work experience, Angela spent more than twenty-five years as an educator in a variety of academic settings including directing and designing curriculum for the YMCA of Dane County after school and summer day camp programs; working as a continuing education facilitator and school-age specialist for the Wisconsin Child Care Improvement Project; and serving as an educational assistant and resource teacher at St. Peter Catholic elementary school in Ashton, WI, and as a middle school English teacher, cross country coach, and musical theater director at St. Ambrose Academy.
Angela holds two bachelor’s degrees in English and theater secondary education from UW-Whitewater. She and her husband Dan are parents of two St. Ambrose graduates and two current students.
